Every December the same thing happens. Someone in the office realises the year is nearly over, the client list comes out, and there’s a scramble to find something to send. What usually arrives is a box of chocolates nobody remembers, or a gadget that stops working by February.
A good year-end gift doesn’t need to be expensive. It needs to be something people use, with your name on it, every day. Here’s how we’d plan it.
First, decide who it’s for
Clients and employees need different gifts, and mixing the two is where budgets go wrong.
- Top clients deserve something that feels personal and looks good on a desk.
- The wider client list needs something useful and easy to deliver in bulk.
- Your team wants to feel thanked, not marketed to. Go light on the logo.
Write the three lists first, count the names, then pick gifts. Not the other way round.
Christmas, New Year or “year-end”?
Dubai offices are mixed, and so are client lists. Plenty of companies here skip “Merry Christmas” and go with “Season’s Greetings” or “Thank you for a great year” on the card, so one gift works for everyone. If you do want a Christmas theme for certain clients, we have Christmas corporate gifts as well as New Year corporate gifts.
Gifts people actually keep
Branded mugs
A printed mug is the gift that never leaves the office. It sits on a desk all year with your logo facing the room. We print white ceramic 11oz mugs, magic mugs that reveal the design when hot coffee goes in, two-tone mugs with a coloured inside, and black or coloured mugs. Mugs are usually ready in 1–2 days, which makes them a good fallback if you’ve left it late.
Caps and apparel
For teams, field staff and younger clients, embroidered caps look smarter than printed ones and last longer. A good hoodie also gets worn far more than you’d expect in a Dubai winter, especially in air-conditioned offices. See all caps.
Desk items
A PU notebook, an executive pen or a 2027 desk calendar all get used straight away. Calendars and diaries have a nice advantage: they arrive exactly when people need a new one.
Gift boxes for key clients
For the clients who matter most, put two or three of these together in a custom corporate gift box with your logo on the lid. A mug, a notebook and a pen in a printed box feels like a proper present, not a giveaway. Ready-made options are on our executive gift sets page.
Recognising your team
Year-end is also when people remember whether they were thanked. A small, well-chosen award can mean more than a bonus line on a payslip.
- Employee recognition awards for the people who carried the year.
- Long service awards for five or ten years with the company.
- Crystal awards if you’re holding a year-end dinner and want something for the stage.
Get names spelled right and check them twice. A misspelt award is worse than no award.
Don’t forget the card
The card is the part people read. A printed thank-you card or greeting card with a short handwritten line from someone senior turns a branded item into a personal gift. Two sentences is enough. Mention something real from the year if you can.
When to order
December gets busy for every printer and courier in Dubai, so work backwards from the date you want gifts in people’s hands:
- Late October to early November: finalise your lists and budget, and send us your logo as a vector file (AI, PDF or SVG).
- Mid November: approve designs and place the order, especially for gift boxes and awards with names on them.
- Early December: deliveries go out before the holiday period and the year-end rush.
Delivery is free anywhere in Dubai, so you can send gifts straight to the office or split them across several sites. Check your area on our areas we serve page.
Get a quote for your list
Send us how many clients and staff you’re gifting, and roughly what you want to spend per person. We’ll suggest a mix that fits. Request a quote, or browse everything on our corporate gifts page. Planning for Ramadan next year too? Our Ramadan corporate gifting guide covers that.
