A roll-up banner is often the first thing people see at your stand, reception or event. It’s portable, quick to set up and reusable, which is why almost every business in Dubai owns at least one. Here’s what to think about before you order.
Choose the right size
The most common size is 85 × 200 cm, which suits most stands and receptions. Wider banners of 100 or 120 cm make a bigger statement in large halls, while double-sided roll-ups work well in walkways where people approach from both directions.
Pick a stand that lasts
- Classic roll-up: light and affordable, ideal for occasional use.
- Wide-base roll-up: more stable on uneven floors and in air-conditioned halls with strong airflow.
- Premium roll-up: heavier base and smoother mechanism for frequent events.
Design for a three-second glance
Visitors walking past give your banner a few seconds at most. Put your logo and main message in the top third, at eye level. Use one clear headline, a strong image, and contact details or a QR code in the middle. Keep the bottom 20 cm free of important text, because it is often hidden behind tables or people.
Material matters
Most roll-ups use a curl-resistant PVC or polyester film that stays flat when unrolled. For events under strong lights, ask for an anti-glare finish so photos don’t pick up reflections.
Plan ahead for busy seasons
Exhibition season and events around Ramadan and National Day are busy for printers. Order a week or two early so there’s time to proof and adjust the artwork. See our roll-up banners and other event displays, or get a quote.
