A new sign is a big investment, and it’s the part of your shop people see first. These are the questions we go through with almost every customer before a sign is made.
1. Where will people see it from?
A sign read from across a main road needs larger, bolder letters than one read in a mall corridor. Think about viewing distance and angle, and what else is competing for attention around it.
2. Does it need to light up?
If you’re open in the evening, the answer is almost always yes. Front-lit letters are the brightest, halo-lit letters feel more premium, light boxes are the most affordable way to light a large logo, and LED neon adds personality indoors.
3. Which materials suit the location?
Outdoor signs in the UAE face strong sun, heat and dust. Stainless steel, aluminium and ACP with UV-stable faces last far longer outdoors than cheaper plastics, which can fade or warp.
4. What do the landlord and authorities require?
Outdoor and street-facing signs usually need approval before installation, and malls and many communities have their own signage guidelines. Ask for these rules early. We design within them and can prepare the drawings you need.
5. Is your logo ready?
A vector logo file (AI, EPS or PDF) makes fabrication accurate. If you only have an image, a designer can redraw it first.
6. How will it be installed and powered?
Check the wall or fascia it will be fixed to, and where power is available for illuminated signs. A site visit or clear photos with measurements avoid surprises on installation day.
7. What’s your opening date?
Fabricated and illuminated signs take longer than printed ones. Share your deadline up front so the design, approval and production can be planned around it.
